New Moon in Taurus

New Moon in Taurus

New Moon in Taurus – 4/29/14 With all the aspects of this season’s Fertile stage for change, here before us lies the simple symbol of the dove. Pure and aligned with heartfelt peace, the dove is our totem, as we sit with as much calm and stillness as possible within the storm. The Cardinal Signs which make the Cross above, point toward examining leadership.  All aspects of this New Moon Eclipse and the surrounding celestial alignments speak to heavy things… Law, Justice even Sexuality indicating benevolent energies for committed partnerships and danger for less pristine relations. The Guru is under scrutiny, as is any aspect of Dominating energy.  And thus, while […]

Egyptian Aphrodite to the Rescue… GO DIRECTLY TO HOME, DO NOT PASS GO…

Egyptian Aphrodite to the Rescue... GO DIRECTLY TO HOME, DO NOT PASS GO...

Egyptian Aphrodite to the Rescue… GO DIRECTLY TO HOME, DO NOT PASS GO… As Mars surges forward with the Fiery Solar Flare activity this week in Aries, it is the wisdom of Aphrodite, Goddess of Love that will calm us down and give us the opportunity to take advantage of the energy being made available to us.  No doubt many of us are feeling impacted since the New Moon with strange days.  That glorious moon, oh that glorious moon where did she go?  As Solar Flare activity erupts, so do we.  A low gurgle, a heavy moan, headaches, agitation, extra-sensitivity and, at times, uncontrollable emotionality, a feeling of un-groundedness. Yet, we […]

New Moon with Aphrodite – Radical Self Care

New Moon with Aphrodite - Radical Self Care

New Moon with Aphrodite – Radical Self Care Sisters ~ It is the New Moon and Aphrodite’s time has come… Born of sea foam from the ocean she rises – beautiful, radiant – Goddess of love, pleasure and fertility. She holds a mirror in her hand, gazing lovingly at her own reflection. She teaches us how to see ourselves through the lens of the divine feminine – loving every part of ourselves, especially our flaws and imperfections. Aphrodite’s message is one of radical self care. We must learn to love ourselves fully – our shadows and our light. When we see our imperfections as a integral part of our beauty we […]

APHRODITE RULES the SPRING and LOVE is in the AIR!

APHRODITE RULES the SPRING and LOVE is in the AIR! Aphrodite, Goddess of Love, had many lovers Gods and mortals. Yet her true love was Ares, the God of War (of all things). And here we are as the New Moon enters Aries the youth of the zodiac, the child, the Warrior, the I AM.  This New Moon is our Spring-Board into the get up and go of the year of the Horse.  This is the time of Wood – the Green Horse’s ability to flourish.  It is the time of bursting seedlings taking root and sprouting through the soil now thawed and rich with waters deep.  It is the time […]

Passionate About Water

Passionate About Water

Passionate About Water In August of 2012, a core group of sisters gathered at a sacred waterfall to honor the Feast of Saint Claire who brings the clarifying rain.  We were unexpectedly blessed by an overlapping group of Water Warriors holding council with a Native Elder for guidance.  How  do we best carry out the message of how our Waters are being directly threatened?  How do we help those without access to clean water?  How do we protect the waters that may be at risk?  It was in this synchronistic meeting between our women’s group and these activists that we were educated about the state of our water in practical terms […]

Brigid’s Cloak: Beyond the Threshold of Imbolc

Brigid's Cloak: Beyond the Threshold of Imbolc

WORLD WATER DAY BONUS… Brigid’s Cloak: beyond the Threshold of Imbolc On Saturday afternoon, I walked in the Meriden, CT St. Patrick’s Day Parade with the help of the Ladies’ Ancient Order of Hibernians, Irish organization, as Brigid. It was the first time the Fire Goddess and Saint had been represented in the flesh in Meriden’s 41 year history of celebrating.  I was deeply honored to walk, leading the parade with St. Patrick, waving to the crowds gathered by the roadside. Of course, it’s all quite dubious from the Goddess’ perspective – walking side by side with an Englishman who bears the title of Ireland’s most celebrated Saint who quite possibly […]

Full Moon of the Equinox + World Water Day

Sacred Flow of the Waters…Let Go Full Moon of the Equinox Dear ones ~ This glorious Full Moon heralds the Spring Equinox and World Water Day (March 22nd). And She has guided me into an intense wave of Purification and Spring Cleaning. “Sacred flow of the waters…let go. Weaving our Love. Surrender, release, purify, go deep, Weaving our Love.” I find myself clearing out the cobwebs of the corners of my home and heart. As I gather bags of “stuff” to give away, I am also clearing away the energetic blocks and residue from my being – the last vestiges of Winter – creating SPACE for the Springtime flow. At our […]

The Story of Sinann

The Story of Sinann

The Story of Sinann By Chris Thompson The creation of the River Shannon as told in the Book of Leinster paints Sinann as a young woman who disobeys rules laid down by the druids and is punished for her presumption. This alternative interpretation speaks for itself. In the days of dreaming, when the soft light of enchantment still shone from every hill of the sidhe, there was a well. It was a deep hidden pool, fringed and caressed by nine strong hazel trees. Pale leaves in spring would gently stroke the bubbling waters, and as the year turned red nuts would drop softly into the deep reflecting mirror of the well. […]

New Moon in the Land of Devotion

New Moon in the Land of Devotion

New Moon in the Land of Devotion It was 8:30 am and our taxi ride from the airport left us at the boat to Lembongen Island. The first thing I noticed were the carefully made banana leaf boxes holding flowers that lined our paths. I soon confirmed that these were indeed offerings to the Goddess. I let out a deep breath and enjoyed a full body smile. I had arrived in Bali, land of devotion. Every morning the women prepare their offerings and bless the homes, roads, passageways, cars, gates…sending prayers of protection, health and happiness for all who cross these paths. I have discovered that the Balinese are kind, friendly […]
